The application of appropriate methodology, approach, and techniques for sampling water, sediment, tailings and waste rock are critical to establishing a proper assessment of ARD potential and the risk of impact to the environment. In carrying out projects for the industry we have visited numerous minesites in Canada and internationally for the purposes of collecting samples and determining site conditions. We have also developed a handbook of waste rock sampling techniques and participated in the preparation of an environmental monitoring manual.
